Alumni Reunion Celebration

Alumni Reunion Celebration (formerly known as Alumni Week) is a tri-campus celebration of our Kamehameha Schools Alumni. Annually, we celebrate the cycles of graduates, classes ending in 0 and 5, 1 and 6, 2 and 7, 3 and 8, and 4 and 9.

Our signature events are Kūpuna Pā‘ina, open to all graduating classes celebrating their 50th Reunion and older; and Lū‘au, starting with our 5th Reunion graduates on Kapālama campus, we welcome home graduates in that year’s cycle from all three campuses. In an effort to be more inclusive and engage our KS ‘ohana, the remainder of events on campus are open to all alumni to attend.

In the last few years, we have also organized celebrations on our Maui and Hawaiʻi campuses, open to ALL alumni, graduates of the campuses and living on the islands. We have had the pleasure of seeing multiple groups of alumni huaka‘i to each campuses celebration to share their aloha with classmates who may not be able to travel, and to share in the aloha each campus has to offer. When we say “Welcome Home”, we truly hope that all alumni will feel at home where ever they may be.

Dorming is offered depending on the number of Dorm units available, and only if not being used by students or invited guests.

Volunteering and Lū‘au Manpower Team

Every year, we invite our KS ‘ohana to volunteer at various events throughout the week including lū‘au. Our events are successful in part because of the kōkua we have, all kōkua is welcome and appreciated. If you are interested in offering your time and talents, please look out for opportunities to sign-up in the months leading up to Reunion. Minors may also participate in volunteering as long as a parent or guardian is with them at all times.

Give Back & Class Night

Every year, classes are asked to collectively give a minimum number of hours within their community, either by volunteering with a local organization, or organizing an activity as a class. Those activities could also include kōkua during Alumni Reunion events. Give back activities can also be a part of a classes class night/day, typically the Friday prior to Lū‘au. If your class is looking for opportunities, contact the Alumni Relations Office to inquire about opportunities related to campus or students, i.e. mālama ‘āina days, Residential Life Wish List.
