When can students, staff, and faculty visit the Archives?

The Archives will be closed for all research inquiries and in-person appointments beginning December 24, 2024 - June 30, 2025 as we prepare to move the collection to our new location at Kapālama Shopping Center. Iʻm looking for information on a family member but I canʻt visit in person. How can I make a request to virtually research your collection?

Requests for research may be submitted here. Please note, all requests will be evaluated for resource capacity. Although the archives staff will try to fulfill your request, we cannot guarantee all requests can be completed.

Iʻm looking for more information about Pauahi. Do you have anything in your collection?

Although our collection holds some photographs and biographical information, our collection focuses on the history of the school. The Kamehameha Schools Heritage Center located on the Kapālama campus focuses on the history of Bernice Pauahi Bishop, her husband Charles Reed Bishop and the Kamehameha Dynasty. For more information or to schedule a visit, please visit https://kaiwakiloumoku.ksbe.edu/bernice-pauahi-bishop-heritage-center. The Bishop Museum Library & Archives also house manuscript and special collections from the Bishops. For more information, please visit https://www.bishopmuseum.org/explore/library-and-archives.
