    E hīmeni kākou! “Auē ke aloha ʻāina” was born during the Maunakea movement, a moment when the welo of the lāhui was aligned and the reverberations of aloha ʻāina were carried through the actions and leo of people, place, and practice coming together. This mele was created for the lāhui it calls upon both voice and hands, inviting all to participate. In its simplicity and repetition, the mele grounds us in what matters most: our enduring aloha for each other and for ko Hawai‘i Pae ʻĀina.     College scholarship applications are now open! Through the Pauahi Foundation, Hawaiian learners have access to scholarships that create pathways where they can thrive academically and grow into ʻōiwi leaders who will strengthen their lāhui and Hawaiʻi’s future. Apply now until Nov. 30, 2025, at pauahi.org/apply-for-a-scholarship Scholarships previously managed separately by Kamehameha Schools and the Pauahi Foundation have been consolidated under a unified program to streamline and strengthen our ability to support ‘ōiwi leaders in their learning journeys. Pauahi Foundation’s policy is to give preference to applicants of Hawaiian ancestry to the extent permitted by law.
